Sry that I'm only posting today. I really have been busy these past few days. So let's see, I guess I will post on alliterations. The definition of alliteration is the use of the same consenant at the beggining of each stressed syllable.
Let me list examples for alliterations like what I did for the oxymorons:
"In a somer seson, whan soft was the sonne,
I shope me into shroudes, as I a shepe were."
(William Langland, Piers Plowman, 14th century)
"The sibilant sermons of the snake
as she discoursed upon the disposition
of my sinner's soul seemed ceaseless."
(Gregory Kirschling, The Gargoyle, 2008)
"Progression is not proclamation nor palaver.
It is not pretense nor play on prejudice.
It is not of personal pronouns, nor perennial pronouncement.
It is not the perturbation of a people passion-wrought, nor a promise proposed."
(Warren G. Harding, speech at the 1912 Republican Convention)
Simple alliterations include:
Coca-Cola
Do or Die
Green as Grass
Hale and Hearty
Pay the Price
Well, got to go now~ Byes peoples~
